Uttarakhand Drugs Control
The State of Uttarakhand came into existence on 9th Oct 2000 as the 27 State of the republic of India. Subsequent to the special industrial package announced by the central Govt. in year 2004 and Pharma Industry being announced as thrust Industry in respected to the Sensitive Environmental nature of the State. There has been a Substantial increase in the number of industries manufacturing drug formulations, cosmetics and diagnostic components. Today the department is manned by 5 Inspector of Drugs Incharge of various districts, one inspector of any based at the HQ in Dehradun and are Drug Licensing & Controlling Authority based at HQ in Dehradun.
